There is a newly discovered issue that is extremely urgent that has been discovered that has been called the methane veil issue.
The problem is that vast amounts of methane are probably soon to be released into the atmosphere from underneath thawing ice in oceans of the Northern seas, and this will greatly worsen the problem of global warming.
This may be a tipping point beyond which we will not be able to recover a hospitable atmosphere. Some scientists say that this could lead to total global extinction. This is a serious problem. Because of this, the UN has recently warned that we only have 2 years left to take serious steps to address the problem of global warming.
Some scientists even predict a global extinction by as early as 2027. Because of that, we really need to make solving the problem of global warming a top priority, and we need to make numerous, disruptive changes to our everyday existence and economy.
